He's known for his role as Lou Bonaparte in Mad About You (1993-1998), Tommy in 8 Simple Rules (2002-2003), voiced Pointy-Haired Boss in Dilbert (1999-2000), Jerome Nash Life's Work (1996-1997), and Edwin Poole in Boston Legal (2004-2009). and his movie roles as Mr. Hollister in Pretty Woman (1990), as Dean Richmond in The Nutty Professor (1996) and The Nutty Professor 2 (2000), as Walter Stratford in 10 Things I Hate About You (1999), and as Principal Elliot T. Jindraike in Max Keeble's Big Movie (2001).
